Mr.Funny Bones Card & Video

Hello friends! Recently I was asked by the Stampin' Up! Canada head office to create a short video about myself for their Sunday Stories feature on Facebook. After I created the video and shared it on my Facebook page I thought it would be nice to also share it on my blog for my lovely readers. So here's a little video about me:

In the video I showed a cute card that I made with the new stamp set, Mr.Funny Bones.

This new stamp set is SO CUTE! There's all sorts of skeleton and 'bones' related puns and sentiments. Great for Halloween and many other occasions too!

This card looks a little complicated, but it's just a bunch of super simple pieces all put together. Let's break it down.

Creative Tips:

• Get a buddy! The Embossing Buddy is absolutely a MUST when using White Embossing Powder on dark cardstock. I don't always use it for all embossing, but in this scenario don't take a short cut!
• Layer it up! Nearly every element on this card is layered for some extra POP. Little bits of Melon Mambo Cardstock here, a bit of Gold Twine there, a layer of Vanilla Lace - they all add up for a stunning finished product.
• Let the paper do all the work. The Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Paper is pre-embossed with incredibly intricate designs.
