I think colour challenges are the easiest, so it's a perfect time to join us. This week I added a few more colours to the mix and made a watercoloured (shocker) autumn leaf.
The new Lighthearted Leaves stamp set from the NEW Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Catalogue is so so pretty. The leaves are delicate and full of detail. I embossed this one with white embossing powder and then watercoloured the different sections using Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, and Calypso Coral Inks.
I think it looks perfect paired with the new Woodland Embossing Folder.
Don't forget to come and play along with us at TGIF Challenges. I can't wait to see what you create!
I hope your Friday is as fabulous as you are!
Happy Stampin'
Allison, I absolutely LOVE this card! I caught your sneaky peaky over on IG and had to come over here and see the full project! I love the clean & crisp modern approach to this card. I have just added the Lighthearted Leaves and Leaflets Framelits to my "must order ASAP" list! Thanks for the inspriation - Jennifer @ OneCraftySister
ReplyDeleteWow Allison! I was seriously stumped on how you created that leaf as it looks so perfectly detailed & colored, super gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Allison! I love how the water coloring technique softened the colors.
ReplyDeleteit's a beautiful card....I don't have the mini leaf set but I do have the framelits and the more traditional leaf set from the big book so may give this card a try. Is it my imagination or is there an oval punch out somewhere along the bottom right corner under the leaf? Regardless...it's a GREAT card and I will enjoy case'ing it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love how you have the intricately colored leaf combined with the lighter background.
