Each of us was given four specific categories we had to create for. Today I'm sharing the samples I made featuring the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (dsp). Now before I show you what I made, I think I need to give you a little background on me and designer series paper - I hoard it. I buy it, it goes in my 12x12 paper bin, and there it lives. It's not that I don't like it, I do, it's just that I create so much with stamps, ink, and cardstock that sometimes I forget to use it! So creating samples FEATURING the designer paper was a challenge. I think I did ok, but you tell me.
For this card I really went crazy with the dsp. They said feature it right?! Well once it was all together it was kinda wild so I toned it down a few notches by covering all the dsp with Whisper White Craft Ink. I think it looks really pretty muted like this.
Keeping with the muted theme, I added some soft accessories like the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine and stamping in Soft Sky Ink.
I really tried to make a variety of samples for demonstrators with different stamping styles to take inspiration from. This card is for the clean and simple stamper.
A little stamping, dsp, and a cute little embellishment and this card comes together beautifully. Easy peasy.
Now this project is for the dsp lover! I made this cute monogram 'A' by rolling up pieces of the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and sticking them all together with a glue gun. Sadly this picture really doesn't do it justice.
This project came together surprisingly fast once I found the perfect sized chopstick to wrap my paper around. Lol!
