Hello and welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Craft fair season is fast approaching and I've been working feverishly to create some handmade pretties. So today I'm here to share with you some of the Christmas gift tags I've created.
I love the fun chalkboard look of these, and they will look fabulous on your wrapped presents. If you've never done the chalkboard technique before, it's really quite easy.
- cut a piece of black cardstock to the size of your choice
- stamp your image in VersaMark Ink and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder
- heat set the embossing powder with the Heat Tool
- once cool, randomly sponge on some Whisper White Craft Ink to mimic chalkboard eraser marks
- embellish as desired
To create the frame around my chalkboard I inked up the Hardwood stamp with Baked Brown Sugar Ink and stamped it on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock. Then it was simply a matter of cutting my stamped image in to strips and glueing them around my chalkboard.
A showstopping tag can really make a mediocre wrapping job go unnoticed, so keep that in mind when you are wrapping up your holiday gifts. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I love being able to share my creativity with you.
Now let's hop on over to Barbara to see what she's created. I know she'll wow us!
