I created this paper feather mobile a few weeks ago and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. Even perfectly still, the feathers have a beautiful, organic, whimsical flow to them.
So you want to make one too? First of all, scroll to the bottom of this post to see all the Stampin' Up! supplies you'll need. Next, collect a few things from your local shop including
- a large eye needle
- gold spray paint
- an embroidery hoop
First, spray that ugly embroidery hoop with gold spray paint to make it super glam. Then you're going to create several long strands of feathers. You can see how I did that in this video:
Now that you have all your beautiful strands of feathers, tie them on to the gold embroidery hoop. I did mine about one inch apart. Then simply attach some linen thread to the top of the embroidery hoop so you can hang it. Voila!
Oh, and here's the colour combo I used, but feel free to mix it up and try your own.
Have an amazing day, and thank you so much for stopping by! Now go and check out the creative genius of my friend Barbara!
