By the Tide Lobster Card

Do you ever have 'one of those days'? Yesterday was that day for me. We took our car in for new tires. Apparently they're a 'rare' size and ended up costing twice what we were expecting and had to be special ordered. That left me with no vehicle and I had to take public transit home…it wasn't pretty. I bailed after getting off the train and asked a friend to pick me up. The thought of trying to get on the right bus was a little too much for me. By the time I finally got home I had 5 minutes to do a quick tidy before my husband showed up with a friend from work. Yeah. Five. Minutes. Thanks for the warning. To top it all off our wireless router crapped out, so we had to walk in the POURING rain to go and buy a new one at 10:30 last night. Yeah, it was one of those days.

Anyways, thankfully today is a brand new day and it's an exciting one too! My Online Catalogue Launch Party is tonight, so I'll be chatting, sharing samples, giving away prizes...I'm super excited. I know I know…on to the card.

Over the weekend our very kind neighbours had us over for the most incredible lobster dinner, so of course I took the opportunity to make a special card to thank them.

I really wanted the lobster to POP, so I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured him with my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, and then cut him out. To get the ultra glossy finish I applied a thick layer of Crystal Effects and let it dry overnight.

I snuck in a few of my new favourite embellishments too. Loving the In Color Sequins and Thick Baker's Twine. You're going to be seeing them a lot from me! ;)
