UR Foxy - Life in the Forest Card

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mommas out there!  I'm celebrating with TWO Moms today, both my Mom and my sister-in-law.  We've got a big brunch planned with cinnamon buns, french toast, bacon, eggs, bagels, fruit salad…you know, all the good stuff!  It's going to be a great day!

Today's card is one I made last week when my new Blendabilities alcohol markers arrived.  Since I have no prior experience with alcohol markers it's been a week of trial and error as I learn more and more about them.
I learned the most while colouring this little fox.  Just because the markers come in a package of three doesn't mean you can ONLY use those three markers together.  On the fox I used light cherry cobbler, all of the pumpkin pie markers, and even a skin tone.  I think this drastic blending from dark to light really makes this fox foxy.  ;)  I also really love how the wood frame on my card turned out.  I used a dark brown from the skin tone collection to highlight the woodgrain, blended in some dark pumpkin pie, and then added some bleached out spots using the colour lifter.

The new Blendabilities markers are AMAZING.  You are going to love them just as much as I do!  Want to learn how to use them like a pro?  Make sure to sign up for my Blendabilities How-To Class.  Registration closes Tuesday night, so contact me asap to hold your spot and arrange payment.

Have a super Sunday!
Happy Stampin'
Allison
