Stampin' Success Happy Watercolor Projects: Gift Box

I hope you've been enjoying the few 'secrets' I've been sharing about my projects that were recently featured in Stampin' Up!'s Demonstrator magazine, Stampin' Success.  As I've said before, I'm so pleased I get to share these projects with you as they were most certainly a labour of love.
I really love this gift box.  It's ok to say that about my own project right?  I think anyone who received this as a gift would know that they're special and appreciated without even seeing what's inside.

A few tips to recreate this box:
  • BEFORE you assemble the box, stamp it with the orchid image in VersaMark Ink and emboss with Gold Embossing Powder
  • colour in the flowers on the box using a Blender Pen and Whisper White Craft Ink Pad (Chalk Marker would work well too!)
  • take the White Tea Lace Paper Doilies up a notch by embossing them with Gold Embossing Powder - just cover the entire doily with VersaMark Ink and then emboss (just watch out for your fingers, it gets hot!)
  • I made this orchid using the White Simply Pressed Clay and an orchid pastry cutter I had left over from my Pastry Chef days, but you could create one with punches or an ecutter if you don't have the clay
