Diwali Purse

Over the past week or so I have been working with a wonderful lady to create some items for her to give as gifts this fall and Christmas.  She has been invited to a Diwali celebration and I started creating these for her to give to the hostesses of the houses she visits.  So far I've just made this turquoise one, but I plan on making some with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Regal Rose (and some more colours I can't think of right now).

The little purse was inspired by one that my friend Kristine made for a Leadership swap, but I changed the dimensions and added a pocket on the inside so it would hold the 3x3 notecards and envelopes.  I also made my own tassel with some embroidery thread that matches my Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  It was a bit tricky at first, but once I got a technique figured out it was smooth sailing.

I'm loving the gold!  What do you think?
