Stamp Club Technique

I met with my Stamp Club girls this weekend, and as always we had a fabulous time!  This month we did the Faux Suede technique.  Super simple, but a really pretty element to add to a project for sure.  Here's a closeup:

 That strip on the right is the faux suede part.  I ruffled it up like ribbon for this card, but you can punch out different shapes and use the technique that way as well.  I think it's cute.

We also did some embossing with those beautiful Stampin' Up! Embossing Powders.  This one is Melon Mambo.  I just LOVE that SU! has co-ordinating embossing powders now!  I can see lots of embossing in my future!!!! 

I don't know where today has been sneaking off to, but it's already past noon and I've got TONS of stuff to do before I leave tomorrow!  Stampin' Up! Convention here I come!!!!
